Ellipses, Dec 2… Templated digital planning, big rocks in action, and knowing who the hell you are 🤔
Ellipses… a small, special character.
Used by writers to slow down, create a pause, and indicate thinking.
⚫️ 1 tip: How to actually put your big rocks first 📌
Y'know how I mentioned in a previous newsletter to put your big rocks first? Well, not only is it important to block of chunks of time when you're calendar blocking… but you can also get the most out of this productivity concept by doing the following:
Identify 3-5 projects you wish to get done this week
Label each with a time estimate. Remember Parkinson's Law.
For anything longer than ~90 minutes, break it into smaller chunks.
Plop those chunks into your calendar before you schedule anything else. That's prioritizing those big rocks!
⚫️ 1 link: Digital planning with structure 🔗
I know, I know. I just talked about an Apple Notes bullet journal. But I know some of y'all crave more structure than that. Wish granted: you can use a pre-templated digital planner for your productive proclivities.
This digital planning template provides a brain dashboard for your entire week in either Notability or GoodNotes (though I personally prefer Notability for several reasons).
Learn how to use it with this new in-depth blog post (and YouTube video) 👇
⚫️ 1 journal prompt: Core values 📔
This seems like a pretty basic idea, but it's one that can easily go by the wayside if not clearly articulated, pasted all over your home, and referenced on the regular.
What are your core values?
With some inner work I'm doing, I recently identified 4 personal core values. Since they're now named and outlined, I can make better-informed decisions with a very clear hell yes (or no).
Thanks for reading!
Hit reply or DM me to chat further on any of the above. See you next week.
Be safe and well.
